Verhees Textiles invests in sustainable viscose with Lenzing EcoVero

In today's society, consumer demand for sustainable fashion choices is steadily growing. In the production of our eco-friendly viscose fibers, Verhees Textiles embraces the principle of "take less, give more," rooted in respect for both nature and our customers. Our goal is to contribute to creating a cleaner and greener world by reducing environmental impact, achieving maximum efficiency in the use of natural resources, and minimizing waste in the production process, resulting in excellent sustainability performance. At the same time, we aim to provide our customers with additional benefits so they can meet their end customers' expectations for sustainable products by using our viscose fibers bearing the LENZING™ ECOVERO™ brand. The environmentally friendly alternative to regular viscose.

Lessening the burden on nature

Sustainable wood sources

Lenzing Ecovero viscose fibers are made from wood and pulp sourced from naturally grown, renewable, and certified forests in Europe, certified with the European Eco label. The fibers are biodegradable and even compostable, allowing them to return entirely to nature without causing harm to the environment and keeping our waters clean.

 Reduced water impact

The production of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose fibers results in up to 50% less water consumption compared to generic viscose. Additionally, chlorine-free bleaching methods are employed, and wastewater is returned to nature in a clean state after the production process. Production residues do not end up in the environment.

Lower CO2 emissions

The production of Lenzing Ecovero viscose fibers emits up to 50% less CO2 than generic viscose. In this way, we are helping to combat climate change.

At Verhees Textiles, we are convinced that with your help, we can make an impact. Let's start today and make sustainable decisions together to support our planet.
